InSeT Systems: Saving miner's lives with technology
InSeT Miner
Tracking System

The InSeT System Miner Tracker is a compact, intrinsically-safe, battery powered, portable device designed to track the location of a miner in an underground coal mine through patented inertial navigation technology, and provide emergency two-way voice and text messaging capabilities.

The Miner Tracker has been specifically developed as part of an overall tracking and communication system that complies with the post-accident, two-way communications and electronic tracking requirements of the Mine Improvement and New Emergency Response Act (MINER) Act of 2006.

The Miner Tracker is worn sealed in the miner’s belt holster with LEDs that provide alarm and product status feedback. The Mine Tracker inertial navigation data is processed into precise latitude and longitude, stored locally and transmitted, along with battery status over the self healing, 900MHz wireless mesh network every 30 seconds.
