InSeT Systems: Saving miner's lives with technology
Tracker Unit

Inertial Navigation

Patented inertial navigation technology uses a sensor to continuously track orientation and velocity (direction and speed of movement) of a miner without the need for external references. The inertial sensor is coupled to an embedded processor to produce precise position.

Voice Communications

Digital voice communication utilizes ’store and forward‘ technology. A voice message is recorded in the Miner Tracker and transmitted in milliseconds through the wireless network to the control center on the surface. The control center can send a digital voice message to all personnel in the mine (network broadcast), target smaller groups (targeted broadcast) or communicate directly with any individual. If the initial message is not received by the control center or the individual user, the time-stamped message will continue to be sent until it is received.

Text Messaging

Free form text messages with store and forward can be sent from the control center as network broadcasts, targeted broadcasts or directly to any individual. All mine personnel will be able to communicate back to the surface through the use of preprogrammed messages (acknowledge, medical state good, air supply good, located safety equipment, etc).

Color Graphic LCD Display

The Miner Tracker backlit display provides intuitive, easy-to-understand information at a glance; radio signal strength, voice and text messages in-queue, battery life, and soft-key messages detail button functionality.
