InSet Systems, LLC serves mining and underground research industry.  Responding to the demand for rapid recovery of trapped underground miners, InSeT's founding engineers pioneered the development and integration of mobile personnel locators that do not rely upon GPS or hazardous wireless technologies. Their Inertial Systems Tracking (InSeT) communicators are the first of their kind to be implemented to locate and rescue US miners.

InSeT engineers are recognized in inertial systems as lead developers and installers of  proven technology that can locate a lost, trapped, conscious or unconscious miner. Our products are made in our US laboratory and in close consultation with the MSHA Test & Acceptance Center, NIOSH and mining rescue team leaders.

InSet is conveniently based in Akron, OH, only a few hours from some of the largest coal mining operations in the United States.

Supported by InSeT Systems engineers, technicians and our supporting personnel, our clients are held up by tested and true professionals in "blind" navigation: navigating without light or satellite, Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Our team completely understands the challenges and fears that underground miners and their families face. Our engineers draw on decades of personal experience designing, installing, fixing and certifying submarine navigation systems to blindly navigate above and below oceans without vision or GPS. Our systems can significantly improve the odds that a stranded or lost miner will be rescued.  With InSeT Systems, mine owners can plan, build, install and maintain a miner tracking and rescue system that will meet government regulations.
